  1. An fascinating discussion is price comment. I think that you need to write more on this matter, it might not be a taboo topic however generally individuals are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers

  2. Gold, it is nice to know they’ll be there even if the numbers become imbalanced. On the subject of imbalance, there is an article on Perth, Ontario taking up to 2,500 people in an emergency. A little town of around 6,000 is listed as being able to handle thousands by Canada’s armed forces. What’s with that?
Officially this is listed as an evacuee destination for Belleville, 148km away from Perth, but a quick scan shows Belleville emergency plan doesn’t mention the town. If Perth is a destination for around 4% of the Belleville population, where is the other 95%+ going? There are as well the question moving these people with seasonal effects, be it winter snow, spring flooding or scorching summer heat? Earthquake damage mild to severe? Number of people effected in and around Belleville?
Does the emergency plan have the possibility of Perth getting a view of people that resembles the refugees from central america coming to the USA?

  3. With the Clown World that Canada has descended into, I’m starting to seriously question why the hell I wore an olive-drab uniform for well over a decade.

However, having done so, I’m grateful for the experience, in that it taught me a few things that translate to civilian life.

Re. women serving- absolutely. Some of the ones I knew rose through the ranks to high leadership positions, and proved just as smart, tough, and no-nonsense as any of the guys. They seemed ready, willing, and able to pick up a weapon and kill the enemy. I actually got a kick out of the fact that many of the US Navy pilots giving the Taliban and al-Qaeda what they deserve were of the feminine persuasion.

In a SHTF case where the hot death starts flying, I’d be worried about fellow troops in the trench next to me, male OR female. On that note, ALL applicants should be held to the same aptitude and physical-ability standards.

“Foreign” recruits: HELL, no. Potential new citizens should prove their loyalty to Canada (NOT their religions) first (and if we really got desperate, we could just hire mercs anyway…) Speaking of religion, IMHO, M-103 should be abolished . Glorified Islamic blasphemy law should never be allowed to take priority over freedom of choice & speech).

  4. No problem. I do not need to fight for Canada but for myself. Canadian governments do not protect me from anything, its my own doing. I depend on myself not governments or neighbors. The world is a mess and it needs to get back to humanity. Governments are no good when they try to control the citizens. We the people have to fight back against governments. But we are failing ourselves.
